This is a song I composed long long time ago (like 1998) and in its first take featured a male tenor on vocals. I thought about re-recording just for the sake of it. The main riff came out playing around with a 1000ms delay effect with single feedback, that gives that brain-washing mood to the song. I like to think it’s a sort of tribute to Mike Oldfield (expecially “Crises” and “Discovery”), that’s why it’s very 80ish.
Thanks to Lolo for her wonderful performance on vocals, priceless.
SLIP FROM REALITY
It’s time to fall asleep
to leave reality,
away from this world
from this monotony.
It’s time to make my way
throughout this dreadful grey
time to relieve the pain
that drives me insane.
it is time tonite
it is time to fly
It’s time to spread my wings
to unchain my fantasies
to release my mind
to set loose my dreams
It’s time to make my way
throughout this dreadful grey
time to relieve the pain
that filled my day.
it is time tonite
it is time to fly
leave me alone
leave me alone
It’s time to fall asleep
to leave reality,
away from this world
from this monotony.
It’s time to spread my wings
to unchain my fantasies
to release my mind
to set loose my dreams
it is time tonite
it is time to fly
leave me alone
leave me alone
